Key insights

The performance of participants in achieving the expected outcomes of the intervention depends on household poverty dynamics and specific household characteristics at the time of program implementation.
Households where the intervention is provided to two members simultaneously show better results than those with only one participant.
Participants’ performance is affected by uncontrollable external factors; however, the program’s savings component and family support networks help mitigate these shocks.
Participants’ aspirations and expectations evolve during the program, influencing outcomes depending on their initial state.
Program success is linked to the design and implementation of activities, with tablets and program facilitators playing a crucial role.

Program Objective

To increase productive, financial, human, and social assets of rural populations in conditions of vulnerability, extreme poverty, and/or victims of forced displacement, contributing to their socioeconomic stabilization and enabling upward mobility (Prosperidad Social, 2015).

Strengthen participants’ human and social capacities.
Provide financial education, promote a savings culture, and improve access to financial services.
Offer technical and financial support for creating or strengthening productive initiatives.

Objective:
Evaluate the operation of the "Producing for My Future" program in Nariño, Sucre, and Atlántico through a systematic analysis to identify how processes and activities lead to achieving defined outcomes, detect bottlenecks, and highlight best practices.
